The United Way Volunteer Center is a local resource for increasing volunteerism and deepening volunteer engagement.
We believe wholeheartedly that United Way exists by the community and for the community, and volunteer involvement is a critical and irreplaceable asset in making long-term change happen in our community. We are always looking for people that want to make an impact in their community. From individuals to employee teams, one-time support or a commitment to a year-of-action, volunteers work with us on a diverse range of projects and roles.
YEAR OF ACTION VOLUNTEER EVENTS:
January: MLK Day of Service
Developing the employees of tomorrow; building literacy skills, confidence, and community capacity.
September: Day of Caring
Day of Caring is a mobilization of volunteers to celebrate the spirit of giving and the value of volunteerism.
December: Welcome Home
Home is much more than a roof over your head. Volunteer teams gather, assemble and deliver “Welcome Home Baskets” of essential items needed to begin a new life in a new home.
