CAMPAIGN ADVISORY COUNCIL
Thank you for considering the opportunity to serve our community as a member of the Campaign Advisory Council.
Through engagement of corporate partners, individuals, and foundations, the United Way of Northwest Michigan Campaign Advisory Council advances the vision of stronger communities, providing strategic insight on corporate philanthropic priorities, providing financial support, and sharing of corporate assets.
Before completing an application, please review the following information.
The goal of the Campaign Advisory Council is to increase the fundraising capabilities, engagement, and awareness of
United Way to current and potential supporters.
The role of the Campaign Advisory Council is to support United Way staff in volunteer leadership for planning, marketing, and
implementing a successful United Way Community Campaign, with a focused approach on strategic relationship building.
Serve as an ambassador for United Way by sharing the story and impact of our work across your network
Consider your own personal investment with a gift to United Way
Participate in meetings with corporate leaders to advance and/or explore their interest in partnering with United Way
Provide strategic guidance on messaging, donor engagement, and other United Way activities
Serve in a leadership role in your organization’s United Way campaign, as appropriate
Identify other potential volunteers and donors
Actively participate in Campaign Advisory Council meetings
Invest time and energy necessary to cultivate personal relationships with area companies and individuals in behalf of United Way through participation in 4-6 calls. (Commitment: 6 hours)
Attend 9 Campaign Advisory Council Meetings Annually: (Commitment: 12 hours)
Attend Campaign special events, as appropriate
