United Way of Northwest Michigan Internship Program

Our Internship Program is a great way for you to learn about the United Way Volunteer Center, Northwest Michigan nonprofits in Antrim, Benzie, Leelanau, Kalkaska and Grand Traverse counties and the volunteers who give back to their communities. Our Internship Program is designed for people with a serious interest in giving back to nonprofits who utilize volunteers to carry out their mission and to the volunteers themselves. Interns will help in one or more areas, including office administration, fund development, operations, publicity, programming and publications.

A 15 hour time commitment is required each week, to be filled between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., weekdays. A working knowledge of computers and a friendly disposition are needed. Training will be provided. More opportunities may become available depending on trainability and organizational need.
