Whether it is a neighborhood without health insurance, a victim of abuse, or someone struggling with mental health or addiction, there are agencies in northwest Michigan who are prepared to help. United Way of Northwest Michigan continues to support these agencies with grant dollars.
In 2011 $88,000.00 was awarded to 11 different programs dealing with health services in Antrim, Benzie, Kalkaska, Leelanau, and Grand Traverse Counties.
