Citizen Action Team
Citizen Action Teams
The power of your gift is magnified through United Way of Northwest Michigan’s grant process.
Community volunteers make the grant decisions. More than 30 community citizens serve as United Way’s Citizen Action Teams, which we refer to as “CAT’s”.
These community citizen volunteers receive training and orientation. After carefully reviewing applications, they meet to interview applicants and score their proposals. They conscientiously and thoroughly discuss how to get the best results for the most local people in the most cost effective ways.
The grant process for 2011 has ended, If you would like to be a part of our 2012 Citizen Action Team please fill out and submit this form.
